Camping Film
Golden Ears Provincial Park

For ten days we vacationed in British Columbia. I left my camera at home. Well my digital one. This year I want to capture the little things in life without thinking of sharing them. I want family snapshots.
So I revived my father’s Canon EOS 620, slapped the 40mm pancake on it and shot three rolls of film. Mundane things. Smiling at the camera in crumby light. Light filtering through the trees and spider webs. Then I sat in my tub in the dark, loaded the film, developed it in my sink, hung it in the shower, listened to old music and scanned it in. Two types of film, one that almost fell out of the tank before it had finished developing (the lack of light leaks are a mystery to me), a thermometer that was drowned in the previous incident that caused for the second roll to be accidentally pushed, and a third roll with a guesstimated temperature. Scanned without having dust blown off and a program that kept crashing. A hodge podge of mistakes that I can only shrug out. Because these are personal images.

To a summer of snapshots!
