Moving | Austin TX

I’ve come to realize I am a ridiculously hands-on person. Each image is chosen relative to similar ones around it. Each image is edited and saved. I’m an editing control freak.  So, earlier this afternoon when I decided to batch edit these photos while running errands I was mildly giddy to return home to images that needed a touch of tweaking but that’s about it. Hurrah for giving up image control! Or rather being time efficient. I wasn’t going to even touch these images for a few more weeks but here they are!

Nessa is moving from Texas to Maryland with her husband and two dogs. Barnaby, a dachshund, who has the most mesmorizing way or staring at you if you talk to him, and Boots, a Boston Terrier. Boots entertained me the entire day as he spun in circles attempting to catch his tail. Rumour has it he can successfully catch it – if he pins his leg down. That day was a day of such amazing company. Such amazing conversation. Nessa is such a ridiculously talented photographer it makes me sick (and also equally inspired) to think people on this planet have as much talent as her. Seriously you need to check out her work – every image is just precision and perfection.

Thanks for letting me hang out with you that Saturday Nessa. All the best with the rest of your move. :)

Nessa K - I really can’t think of a better way to remember this house than these photos. Thank you for photographing us and just… being a super amazing photographer. :)

Elissa - Awwww.

Kirstie - WOW!! You’ve invented a whole new genre of photography, the documentation of a house/apartment on moving day. These are incredible! Love the dogs.

Akilah - These are so amazing! I love the series of Nessa directing the puppy and all of the detail of the knick-knacks. You’re super talented!

Christmas Eve – Our One Year Wedding Anniversary » Washington DC Wedding Photographers | Nessa K - [...] Speaking of packing, I had the amazing experience of being photographed by Brittany Esther, a Calgary Wedding Photographer as I was packing up our tiny little house in Austin. Her work is… phenomenal and absolutely worth looking at. I have a book of her travels to Guatemala that’s absolutely inspirational. If you’d like to see what a wreck our house was as we got everything together for the move, check out her personal travel blog. [...]
