Sorry. This post is going to be a bit gushy.

For the past three-ish weeks I have been able to spend time with Sam both in the States and Canada. Cook with him, clean with him, go on walks, watch him play games, have my *bleep* whooped in Mario Kart with him. It simply reminds me how grateful I am to have such a wonderful person in my life. Even if my happiness wanes with stress or the dishes pile too high he is right there to help. How he is so dang attentive and selfless. It slays me such a person exists. And for it to be in their very being and not just a show. At least I figure not because three years of such a display I imagine would be exhausting. Tomorrow we both go to the airport. Myself to Kelowna and him back to Texas. We will return to our daily texting rituals. Our Skype calls whenever possible through the day and nearly always at night as we go to bed (hoping my internet doesn’t cut out so we can hear each other in the morning).

Through him I have been able to visit one of the most unique cities. Austin, Texas. It’s silly quirkiness. Crazy good food, ridiculously kind people, really really really big grocery stores where they sell alcohol (because as a Canadian that is mind boggling). It’s a city I have grown to love more and more every visit.

There are two stories behind these images. The first is with a Mamiya in which I needed to finish the roll before returning to Canada. The second was the first official roll (loaded properly because… user error) in the Rollei on a surprise wine tour road trip (because Sam is the best).

Sam. I love you; you are amazing. Austin. Ditto.

Awww this is the sweetest. Love the post and the beautiful photos. PS Mario kart is the best game ever. I bought a Wii just so I could play Mario Kart. I own no other game. Lol. Sam, you’re rad and I’m stoked I got to meet ya!
