Day 11
A Short Summary

Okay. Blog neglect to the max. How horrible is this? I had grand plans to keep up with this the entire time. But between feeling ‘blerk’ by the end of the day, forgetting what I want to say, and not really being able to edit photos I don’t have much material to share at this time. So, I shall leave you with a summary for now.

Kamloops | Who cares. Dani and Nate live there and they are the best company you could ever ask for. I also watched birch sticks be turned into an amazing drink. This is impressive.

Between Kamloops and Vancouver | There be crazy drivers.

Vancouver | Amber and Bryn live there and they are the best company you could ever ask for. If this sounds familiar it’s because it is like Inception. There are many different non-categorical levels that exist at the same time. It plays with your brain! We had amazing sushi.

Border crossing | I love when guards are switched for lunch break. It interrupts questioning quite nicely.

Seattle | I need to go back. Amazing photographers (Dana and Susan!). Amazing Mexican (fancy that). Amazing markets. Amazing meandering. Amazing weather (hardy-har. I am serious for all two days I was there). Amazing coffee. Seattle – I’ll be back.

Tacoma | Latasha – you meet her and feel like you’ve known her forever. Such a sweetheart. Also the roads are like perpetual hiccups (I’ll get into that in a later post).

Between Seattle and Portland | Sweetest little oyster villages known to man kind with the sweetest 80 year old ladies trying to sign up for courses online. And kinda sketch roads.

Portland | They hate their pedestrians but love their dogs.

Between Portland and Eureka | Zohmygoodness. I want to buy a beach house and just sit on my porch all day watching the waves while writing really horrible poetry. I also had a zillion heart attacks driving the Redwood Highway in pitch black.

Eureka | I arrived. I didn’t see. I left.

Between Eureka and San Francisco | Driving the CA-1 is a must do. So is getting lost and taking the Panoramic Highway. My turning skills (on a scale of 1-10) went from a 4 to 11.

San Francisco | Burritos.

Powell Street and Bush Street. San Francisco.
